A quiet, white girl you'd think she was
who can't seem to fit in anywhere because
she looks funny and speaks funny too
but, may I ask, what is it to you?
She is her own person, you shouldn't give a damn
she proudly exclaims, "I am who I am!"
But deep within the wounds don't heal
caused by the words she thought were real
haters and shit heads all gather round
gathering dirt like some mangy bloodhound.
So she cries but looks up, up above
beyond the clouds where she knows there is Love.
She prays and believes Someone there hears
and soon she's able to dry away the tears.
Simply put, she has her heartaches and smiles
all last for only a while.
She's living, she's loving and laughing as well
going on with life as if it were swell.
She smiles even if the wounds she can't mend
cause there's no point in frowning forever 'til end.
