Rosie: How’d you get the part?
Rupert Grint: I sent in a photograph and waited weeks and weeks for a reply but nothing happened. So I went on this website, some of the kids were sending in video tapes of themselves reading the books. And I really wanted to be in this film, so I made this video tape. I dressed up as my drama teacher, who was a girl so it was kind of scary.
Rosie: So you dressed up as a woman?
Rupert Grint: Yeah.
Rosie: Then what?
Rupert: Then I made this rap song about how much I wanted to be in the film. Then I made this speech thing up for Ron and sent it in. Then I got asked, “Would you like an audition?”  It was so cool!
